Sander van de Velde is an Azure IoT Solution architect for the last seven years. Next to that, he is a full-stack Software architect and developer for 20+ years.
Sander (short for Alexander) is also a Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) in the field of Azure IoT already for six years in a row. He is awarded due to eg. the blogs he writes, the workshops he offers, and presentations he gives about Azure IoT. Sander also works with the Azure IoT product teams to make the Azure IoT ecosystem even better.

From the first moment Microsoft introduced IoT in Azure, Sander has worked with all the features and the Microsoft Product teams. He knows how to start with Azure IoT proof of concepts, proof of value projects, pilots, and (pre) production.

Sander is involved as an IoT Subject Matter Expert for the official Microsoft Azure IoT Specialty Exam AZ-220.
One IoT projects was referenced by Microsoft during the Microsoft Build event in 2019.
Sander was allowed to demonstrate the private preview of Stream Analytics Anomaly detection during the SPS IPC Drives 2019.
Sander is one of the founders of the Dutch Azure IoT Community.
Next to many other events, Sander has presented at the Microsoft Reactor in Toronto in 2022.
Sander has presented about Azure Digital Twins and Azure Data Explorer at the UK Techdays ‘Flight into Azure IoT’ 2021 and 2022 shows.
